Each section represents areas of finishes for your home.<\/p>\n
Some things I recommend to every homebuyer before coming in would be.\u00a0 Bring in photos of some inspiration.\u00a0 If you would prefer a light or dark kitchen\u00a0etc.\u00a0 I also would recommend\u00a0knowing your budget, bring color swatches in, know where you are willing to compromise and where you are not.<\/p>\n The Color Selection Process<\/p>\n Step #1.\u00a0\u00a0Cabinetry and Countertops<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n We start off with kitchens.\u00a0 We review your plans with you to make sure everything is correct.\u00a0\u00a0Then we\u00a0go over your kitchen layout, discuss all of the different cabinetry options you have.\u00a0 Which details you would like to incorporate such as under cabinet lighting, soft close feature\u2019s, crown molding, 36\u2033 uppers, the options are endless. Range hoods, and countertops and right down to your cabinet hardware.\u00a0 From kitchens we move right into washroom vanity cabinets.<\/p>\n Step #2 Flooring<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Once that is complete\u00a0we move onto flooring, co coordinating your kitchen selections with flooring options.\u00a0 Whether it be Ceramic tile, laminate, engineered hardwood or solid hardwood floors.\u00a0 Flooring for the entire home is chosen.\u00a0 Tile would then be selected for any tub surrounds or walk in showers.<\/p>\n Step #3 Paint<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n Next would be paint, we have 7 colors to choose from that come with the home. You would be able to choose from 1 color for the entire home.\u00a0 Two different levels of different tones are also available as an option.\u00a0 Or if you want to add accent walls or go bold with color as\u00a0an option,\u00a0we have our custom paint deck you can select from.<\/p>\n Step #4 Interior Doors & Door Handles<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n You then have the choice of different interior doors and door handles.\u00a0 From a more classic, traditional to contemporary modern looks.\u00a0 Different hardware finishes such as gold,\u00a0brushed nickel and antique nickel.<\/p>\n Step #5 Interior Railing & Stain Options<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n With several options to choose from, several different looks can be achieved with railings.\u00a0 Classic Colonial or Square-Square both in oak are the base options.\u00a0 However endless choices from more detailed posts to stainless steel spindles are also available.<\/p>\n Step #6 Fireplaces<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n Lots of fireplaces to choose from, electrical or gas.\u00a0 This can automatically change the feel of a room.\u00a0 Why not surround that fireplace with a mantel,\u00a0accent wall of\u00a0ledge stone or wooden panels.\u00a0 All of these options are\u00a0here in our design Centre.<\/p>\n #7 Lighting & Electrical<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n When it comes to lighting we will review your plan and discuss options.\u00a0 Whether you would like to add capped lights above your island, replace dome lighting with pot lights throughout, this is where we would do it.\u00a0 We also have a lighting catalogue that you can review, where we offer chandeliers different vanity light options etc.\u00a0 We also would discuss adding any extra electrical outlets, cable, or switches.<\/p>\n #8 Faucets, Toilets & Plumbing<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n In this area we go over what kitchen and washroom vanity faucets you have available.\u00a0 Shower head sets and energy efficient toilets.\u00a0 Also If you would like to have the spa like en-suite washroom, freestanding tubs and over the counter sinks are also an option.<\/p>\n #9 Mechanical<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n Here we have water softener systems, Air conditioners, different types of filters for your furnace and much more.\u00a0 Incorporating these items into your Mortgage Can be a great help if you don\u2019t have the cash to spare right away.<\/p>\n #10 Exterior<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n Lastly we finish off with exteriors.\u00a0 Here we have fully finished boards with pre selected Brick, Siding, Aluminum, Shingle and even the color of the front door.\u00a0 Several color options are available to you.\u00a0 Window colors come in white, although there are numerous color options available.\u00a0 These\u00a0have also been pre\u00a0selected to work with the exterior board that you choose.<\/p>\n Hopefully this can better prepare you for when you come in to complete your color selection.\u00a0 Feel free to come in and look around, we are always welcoming.\u00a0 We look forward to seeing you soon \ud83d\ude42<\/span><\/p>\n Lilly Cordeiro, Sunlight Heritage Homes<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" I often have people wondering what they will be choosing or doing when they come in for their Design Centre appointment.\u00a0 This is the fun part of the buying process, when you can choose all of your surfaces and materials … Continue reading ![\"design](\"https:\/\/www.sunlighthomes.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/design-center-1.jpg\")
